http://elkaesthetic.com/vela-ice-diode-laser-hair-removal-machine/ As a Bicolana living here in Austria since 1991, I am happy to share our culture and tradition, our mouth watering spicy cuisine, our music, art and very distinct sense of humour J. But nothing gives me more happiness than sharing our devotion to our mother, our Ina, Our Lady of Peñafrancia.
Through the Bikol Society in Austria (BSA) an organization established in 1993, we have propagated our devotion through the year-round and yearly festivities we have spearheaded in cooperation with the Filipino Catholic Chaplaincy (FCC). Monthly Novenas every last Friday of each month, nine day Novena, Fluvial Procession and concelebrated Masses every September simultaneous with the annual festivities taking place in Bicolandia, Philippines – these are some of the ways we have managed to bring our devotion to Austria and to keep our love for Ina alive.
On behalf of the BSA, I thank all of you who have supported and helped us through the years, but specially more so those who helped us this year. To the new set of BSA Officers, to our sponsors and donors, our 2016 Hermana Mayors, to all the devotees in Austria and those who came from afar to join us – from Switzerland, Germany, UK, Greece, the Philippines and other countries. To all the officers and members of civic and religious organizations in Austria as well as the Philippine Embassy. To all those who contributed messages, articles and photos for the BSA Souvenir Programme 2016. And to Hector Pascua and Volet Gerstl who ensured the timely printing of this Souvenir Programme.
Special thank you to Noemi Callo, Rose Liao Decena and Joy Rekaibi, my dream team. Their valuable support and assistance is indeed a blessing. So is their friendship!
My family, my strength: my husband Joel, my daughter Sarah Jozelle, my mother who came all the way from the Philippines, my brothers Noel, Vin, Mar and Jay and relatives here in Austria: the Magistrado Clan, the families of Ocfemia, Cortez, Sto. Tomas, Zamora, Tzakovski, Eria, Tan as well as my very special Auntie Mely from Greece. Knowing that they are with me and behind me all the way gave me the courage to take on the challenge of the BSA Presidency.
I hope and pray that those who helped us this year will continue to do so next year, the Crystal Year (15th Anniversary) of our Fluvial Procession. I also pray that the BSA Choir we started this year, led by Ofel Cortez, will continue in the years to come.
As a mother, I am blessed to have Our Lady of Peñafrancia as mine: a gift bestowed on me, a precious gift I share with all you devotees of Our Ina. Let our love for her live on. Let our lives reflect this love for her. Masatepe Viva la Virgen!!!
